SIGCHI has local chapters worldwide in order to promote local support networks for HCI professionals.  SIGCHI holds an annual conference, the <extref href="http://www.chi2006.org/">CHI conference on Human Factors in Computing</extref>. <p>The videos below come from two sources. The first group, <title render="doublequote">CHI Video Retrospective,</title> contains selected videos assembled and digitized in order to celebrate the CHI conference's 20th birthday. Companies represented in these videos include <corpname>Xerox Palo Alto Research Center</corpname> (<corpname>Xerox PARC</corpname>), the <corpname>University of Calgary</corpname>, the <corpname>University of Nottingham</corpname>, <corpname>MIT</corpname>, and <corpname>Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratory</corpname> (<corpname>MERC</corpname>). </p>
<p>The remaining videos are from the Technical Video Program of SIGCHI conference proceedings from 1983 to 2001.
