Sponsored by the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)'s Special Interest Groups on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI) and Computer Graphics (SIGGRAPH), UIST brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse areas that include traditional graphical and web user interfaces, tangible and ubiquitous computing, virtual and augmented reality, multimedia, new input and output devices, and computer-supported cooperative work.

<p><extref href="http://www.acm.org/uist/">User Interface Software and Technology (UIST)</extref> is a forum for innovations in the software and technology of human-computer interfaces. Sponsored by ACM's <extref href="http://sigchi.org/">Special Interest Groups on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI)</extref> and <extref href="http://www.siggraph.org/">Computer Graphics (SIGGRAPH)</extref>, UIST brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse areas that include traditional graphical and web user interfaces, tangible and ubiquitous computing, virtual and augmented reality, multimedia, new input and output devices, and computer-supported cooperative work.  </p>
