Transcript for Lake Powell, segment 09 of 11

The side canyons of Lake Powell have colorful names, names like Moki, Crystal Spring, Ticaboo, Forgotten, Cascade, Reflection, Mystery, and Cathedral.

Some contain sparkling streams of clear springwater that give rise to a lush growth of trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass.

A cool spring flowing quietly beside a shady canyon wall offers welcome refreshment to modern-day explorers. A pool at the base of a small waterfall becomes a delight for children.

Camping on the shores of Lake Powell is an adventure unto itself away from the crowds where man is left alone in a wonderland of flaming cliffs and growing shadows.

If you miss the train I'm on, you will know that I am gone. You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.
